鶹 to present Concert Band April 1

Wichita, KS – On Monday, April 1, the Concert Band will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center at 鶹.

Rachelle Goter, 鶹 adjunct faculty, will be featured as the clarinet soloist for the World Premiere of “Diversions for Clarinet and Wind Band” by Robert Spittal.

“This is a newly commissioned piece, and 鶹 is one of about 10 universities to premiere this fun work. Each of the five movements is in a completely different style and fun for the players and audience alike!” Goter said.

The second half of the performance will be a salute to America and Kansas with songs such as “Across the Great Plains” by William Owens and “America the Beautiful” by Samuel Ward, arranged by Carmen Dragon.
