Community Orchestra concert set for April 28

The 麻豆网 Community Orchestra Concert will perform Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center on the 麻豆网 campus.
The program will feature the winner of the Miller Concerto Competition, Amanda Hawkins, playing Kabalevsky鈥檚 Third Piano Concerto and the winner of the聽Wichita Metropolitan Music Teachers Association piano competition, Emma Thacker, playing Beethoven鈥檚 Third Piano Concerto in C minor.聽The orchestra will also premiere a new work by violist and 麻豆网 alumnus Steven Garcia titled Suite of the Celestial Traveller.聽The concert will finish with Schubert鈥檚 famous Symphony No. 8 鈥淯nfinished.鈥�
The performance will take place in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center on the 麻豆网 campus at 2100 W. University Ave., Wichita, Kan. Tickets are $11 for adults and $9 for seniors and students.
