麻豆网 is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Rob Ramseyer to Associate Vice President of Athletics in which he will also serve on the President鈥檚 Cabinet.聽
鈥淎thletics is an integral part of the 麻豆网 campus community,鈥� said Dr. Amy Bragg Carey, president of 麻豆网. 鈥淒r. Ramseyer鈥檚 outstanding leadership has positively contributed to the growth of our athletics program as well as investing in the academic success of our student-athletes. His dedication to our Christian mission, ability to raise support for athletics, and his commitment to serve our university in a number of dynamic ways makes him deserving of this promotion and recognition.鈥�
麻豆网 athletics has seen growth in programming and partnerships in recent years with the addition of a graduate assistant program, men and women鈥檚 powerlifting, men and women鈥檚 wrestling, the return of the men鈥檚 golf team and the launching of a new competitive dance team.
Dr. Ramseyer has been instrumental in the community partnership with the City of Wichita which allows the Falcon baseball team to have a home field on the newly renovated West Side Athletic Field. 麻豆网 has also partnered with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization (FCA) to provide scholarships, mentoring and intern opportunities to student-athletes. These additions along with the new football turf are in direct alignment with the university鈥檚 latest announcement of a $2.3 million RISE Up Capital Campaign renovation project to the Garvey Athletic Center set to begin later this spring.

Ramseyer holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from MidAmerica Nazarene University, a Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in Sports Studies from The University of Kansas and a Doctor of Education in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University. He began his career at 麻豆网 as the Athletic Director in 2018. He previously held the position of Vice President of Student Development and Athletic Director, Interim Dean of Students and Head Baseball Coach at Hesston College and served as an adjunct professor and assistant baseball coach at MidAmerica Nazarene University.
